Louise McCarren Herring

Louise McCarren Herring was truly a cooperative pioneer. She served as a delegate to the Estes Park, Colorado meeting at which the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) was incorporated, and she personally organized over 500 credit unions in Ohio. She was the founder and first managing director of the Ohio Credit Union League, as well as that state's first credit union supervisor. She was also a founder and director emeritus of the National Deposit Guaranty Corporation.
